Introduction

Hi, my name is V.! I am most passionate about health issues and how to reduce or prevent them. I am fascinated about the factors behind the scenes of health issues in different communities. I am so excited to communicate with you all! So, please feel free to comment, and we can all discuss the issue. We can also communicate ways that we all try to eliminate factors, so they will not escalate into health issues in the future. As well as help others notice their factors when it comes to their health and suggest tips along the way. I look forward to our discussions!

Research Assistant ~ North Carolina A&T State University, Planned and implemented lessons on physical fitness and nutrition education for the “Nutrition and Self-sufficiency of Adults with Disabilities through a Mentoring Program (The NSA-DMP)” working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Payroll Clerk ~ Alston Personal Care Service Processed weekly payroll for over 200 employees, prepare and issue checks, collect bank information for direct deposit setup and handle daily deposits, manage compensation paperwork, data entry, respond to employee questions regarding payroll issues or concerns, maintain and document all payroll records, and basic bookkeeping

Care Advocate Manager ~ Alston Personal Care Service Ensure care is received in a safe and disability friendly environment, oversee direct care being provided in the home, assist families with pertinent data, quality calls and visits, serve as a resource for clients and employees, prepare reports monthly, customer service, work with service team members to ensure continuity of workflow

Receptionist ~ Greeting client’s staff and visitors as needed, organize, and distribute paperwork to the appropriate manager, answer phone calls and take messages, receive, and pass out mail to appropriate departments, filing, organize files, fax information for different departments, scanning, photocopying
